Details about an E Flat Sopranino saxophone?

I want to know ... every thing about an E flat Saxophone Sopranio. I played on alto saxophone. I was wondering is the fingerings are the same, what is the size of sopranio and how is it to buy one. Any information that you would be very useful.
Thank you!

The soprano saxophone is listening rather than Bb Eb. This means that it sounds a tone lower than the written notation. The fingerings written and range are essentially the same.

The model right or soprano saxophone a little longer and heavier than a clarinet to the traditional cone shape (gradually increasing the diameter of the tube), as the alto, tenor sax, and Bari. Some models have a straight soprano neck slightly bent. Some soprano saxes are shaped like miniature alto saxes, while others have a bell that is slightly curved outward. Most players tend to prefer models Bell straight or curved.

Professionals used to select the sopranos Selmer, Yamaha and Cannonball but both have earned a reputation as manufacturers of fine and saxaphone. Vito made a decent student horn, but I was advised by colleagues that intonation can be a problem. This could be a serious setback, because playing a soprano from the tune is more difficult than an alto or tenor.

You can expect to pay between $ 1000 and $ 2000 for a good student horn and up to $ 4000 - $ 7500 + for a top professional model. Instruments high-end touches that extend the range to reach a full octave above the alto saxophone. You may be able to find a horn used for less than $ 1,000, but check with a teacher before you buy and instrument. Some companies are economic instruments that do not cost much and not playing well. To me this is not a good deal.

Teaneck Saxophonist Releases Two CDs

Paul Cohen wears many hats.

When the prominent classical saxophonist isn’t performing, he’s teaching at six colleges and universities, recording albums, and publishing music.

Even his home serves multiple purposes. Besides offering different spaces for Cohen to practice and publish, his home also includes a miniature museum. This room, which spills out into an adjoining entryway, features more than 150 saxophones, vintage photos and posters, documents, and a collection of Cohen’s writings and CDs.

A product of Teaneck public schools, along with his two older brothers, Cohen said his musical interests began in his home but blossomed in the school system. Upon graduating from Teaneck High School , Cohen attended Baldwin-Wallace College in Ohio and then the Manhattan School of Music, where he received both his master’s and doctorate degrees.

Cohen is currently on the faculty of the Manhattan School of Music, Rutgers University, Montclair State University, New York University, Queens College and Brooklyn College.

Improvisation say come on a large scale nervous eagerness. Moments that are not satisfactorily at the expense of connectivity systematic formal elements of music. With the triple row added ears are treated to the sparks that fly between the ingenious Fingerprint so meticulously prepared and communicated to the players. However, it is a sublimation without passivity. A combination coterie does not fall under the dictatorship of batons and twenty dozen. The roar structures - often poorly defined and interpreted - provides the ears with the structural foundations that destroy not improvisations high priority to meet the particular details of the chess piece.
