Where do i find serial number on my Conn saxophone?
Can not find that 6079 stamped on it. Conn is marked USA on the bell with what I believe they call "shooting stars" design. I mean find any serial # 's in 6000 are 1903, but I do not think the old mines. and no, no other numbers were filed off to the side of 6079. These figures are below what I think is the right thumb "hook". it is obvious that I'm not a sax player. chose this place at a garage sale some time ago.
Often it is difficult to find, as you discovered. Landfall, under the keys. Who made them particularly difficult to spin, as you mentioned. There are also sites like Lars who Kirmse series series - the fact Dan Cipriano, and others. You can always contact Selmer (which took over Conn.) - and then it went to IMU.

SummerJazz Camp helps young musicians develop
STAMFORD -- Drummer Joe Corsello and bassist Rick Petrone have been the go-to rhythm section for many jazz greats over the years, but when they aren't on stage, they enjoy sharing their musical expertise with young music students. This year, the pair celebrates their seventh year with their SummerJazz Camp held at The Palace Theatre .
During a break before another group of students came from another room into the lobby, Itamar Gove-Ari , a 19-year-old Greenwich pianist, and other students began playing Freddie Hubbard 's "Red Clay." Students watched with admiration, smiling and some bobbed their heads.
Gove-Ari, who for two years attended the camp -- part of the Stamford Center for the Arts Education Program -- is now helping others become better jazz players as an intern.
"I see a lot of kids where I was when I started -- they all have that passion for it," he said. "You have to have the passion for jazz before you play it."
Corsello, a city native, Petrone and four other instructors emphasize the importance of learning tunes and, in particular, knowing the form, which is how to play the tune properly. They also hope to help students become skillful improvisers.
is this good if your conn baritone sax is like this?
Conn serial numbers are the Thumbrest. I've never heard of the existence of a serial of dollars on the bell. But if they do not match, it is still not cheap, constituting a bad, mean straight from the bell has been replaced (most likely not due to waste). As fancy as the saxophone playing well, stress, and a vein properly, it can be made from pieces of occasional saxophone.
