Swisstrax Offers New Line of Recycled Rubber Floor Tiles
Swisstrax’s new interlocking tile is the first anti-fatigue modular tile produced by injection molding technology from recycled rubber tires. These soft tiles are molded by Swiss molds, which are uniquely designed to process the recycled materials.
Swisstrax, which is a member of the United States Green Building Council, produces all the tiles in the United States. The company’s new line of tiles is qualified for the LEED Points. This innovative eco-friendly recycled rubber floor solution assures the elimination of tires from landfills throughout the United States.
Swisstrax’s President, Randy Nelson, who guided the research project, stated that the company in close cooperation with plastics recyclers, rubber compounding firms, waste tire vendors and CalRecycle wa searching for the ideal compounds and exact materials.
Nelson further said that the company is happy to offer the new line of recycled rubber floor products with the same design and quality of the existing tiles. The future-thinking, eco-friendly material helps to remove waste tires from the US landfills, he added. Swisstrax will display the new line of anti-fatigue recycled rubber floor tiles in 2011 SEMA Show to be conducted in Las Vegas. The company’s interlocking tile is an ideal substitute for epoxy garage and concrete flooring.
