What is the difference between a hollowbody guitar and a solid body guitar in terms of sound?
I tried to get a new guitar, and is considering a Gretsch guitar. I know they specialize in guitars Hollow, and does not attempt a deal. But I heard that Hollowbodys may have problems with feedback?
A hollow body guitar will give you more natural support. Meaning, the body of the guitar resonates longer than a solid body because the body is an echo chamber (as the operation of an acoustic guitar).
From my experience, the hollow body and semi-hollow gives a chunkier "sound of a solid. This is not necessarily a bad thing ... depending on the type of music you play.
Regarding your concern about the information, it will feedback more of a solid body, because the whole affair Echo Chamber, but this can be a beautiful thing.In addition, feedback is really not going to be a problem until you start playing at high volumes. If you do not play hard enough you have to cry on your instrument, you should be fine.
