Difference between concert c flute and a native american flute or irish flute?
I always wanted to buy a Native American flute, but it seems that the Irish flute is closer to the ordinary flute.
What is the difference (besides the sound)? Is there the same amount of holes and fingering?
Native American flutes have keys like the flute ac. Native American flutes are generally played vertically, like recorders, flutes, while the Irish are side blown (or transverse), as the flute c. Some flutes Irish touches while some do not. Fingerings are different. But the Irish flutes are really the precursors to our modern C flute, and have more in common with her. In particular the scale and the ability to play chromatically. Whatever your choice, who know how to play the flute C will help you learn the other a little easier.

Miss Native American NMSU is not a beauty pageant but a search for a student ambassador who can educate others about Native American cultures and help support Native American students on campus.
Dana Nez, a junior from Tohatchi, N.M., and citizen of the Navajo Nation, was recently selected Miss Native American NMSU for 2011-2012.
Justin McHorse, director of the American Indian Program at New Mexico State University, said when selecting a winner, judges mainly consider the contestant's knowledge of her traditional culture and her public speaking abilities.
"These attributes are important because not only does Miss Native American NMSU help recruit prospective students, but she makes herself available to the community to help educate schoolchildren about American Indian culture and serves as a positive role model for American
