What is a small flute made of bamboo or wood?

I was wondering what a flute made of bamboo or wood is called. I think it comes from Africa or something.

So can you help me I would really apreciate.

is the pan flute or piccolo
I saw both made of bamboo and wood.

If the land is extremely high, then it is probably a piccolo
if this is not really high, then I would say that the pan flute.
