Azumi flute!!!!!!!!??
I play the flute for 4 years and I am very attached to it. In that time I had an Armstrong for 4 years and it used to be ok, but now the sound is just very airy and extremely high notes and bass do not come easily. and its not a silver plated flute. my teacher is really pushing me to move to a better flute, and my parents just told me they will find me a new flute! My mother told me Azumi flute is in our price range. I heard they are pretty good, plus they have the cool B-foot joint! In your experience, are Azumi good quality flute? Is the sound quality?What is the importance of having a silver plated head joint? (Mine has a silver head joint.) Also just wondering, how do you compare to Azumi flutes flutes pearl? better? worse?
haha, im going so forth. simply Azumi flutes are good? any experience, stories or advice welcome. im really, really playing the flute so I am definitely a glass of good quality, beautiful tone and a clear record high and low.

Chances are, your Armstrong is dying - sound like it takes at least a good clean oil / / adjust. repad if not complete - and the model you describe is not worth a repad - you can make a lamp when you get your new flute.
