M-Disc Can Survive Boiling Water and Liquid Nitrogen, Just In Case
Millenniata and LG have teamed up to create something called the M-Disc , a CD of legendary durability. Ubergizmo reports that the disc is more of a “ natural ,” stone-like “ substance and can withstand all kinds of ridiculous torture, including exposure to boiling water and liquid nitrogen . Unsurprisingly, you need a special device to burn to the M-Disc, but after that, it’ll work in any normal CD player and can hold 4.7GB. It takes twice the time to write to the M-Disc, but considering what it must be made of, I feel like that’s pretty reasonable.
So, that’s all well and good and extremely impressive, but the real question is, “Why?” Granted, it isn’t as backwards as creating an indestructible floppy or Zip Disk made out of titanium or something, but it’s still a little bit behind the times. The M-Disc is going to be great for all three of the guys who still back up to CD. Besides, boiling water and liquid nitrogen? That’s a pretty good deal for chefs and mad scientists, but what about those of us who can’t be bothered to use jewel cases? Is it plain old scratch-proof?

A strange and wonderful a certain extent anachronistic attitude happened to me the other day I received a CD as a realistic birthday gift - a reality that has become attached to some sort of a cohort Duologue and I had been having.
I always plan that dialogues are the upper crust, often prolonged unsaid that are unfit for the speed of cultivating trees and seasons of the money without any real constraint for words, and there is enough insignificant for those we perceive fully detailed in this existence of ours.
This communication has proven to be about how the music - and what I have in mind the music - gives us the same time desktop to fantasize and stories that we perceive couple become a magnet high strung around which we follow our own sense of self. And in the months old times, I came to the conclusion that this conversion takes much longer (and is most common) that all those hours in wet vomit albums of your cohort during your adolescence.
It has become a constant in our body time when there has never been so fast music accessible wherever you go, and with so many ways to go and look far, there is no purely scorn not take in and dream of a part of your life.
We just can not conceive of music as anything other than a company these days, yet there is something when uttering derogatory for most of us (primarily those who know sorrow or joy and an outlet end for them ).
And, increasingly returning to the bantam epiphany I had when I unpacked this jewel box last Wednesday, there is something to be said for acquiring a corporal form to become part of your property, something you can process, store, even mid evade your mish-mash and return years later, a young capsule consistently stories and feelings.
Some of the expected music has been enlarged with us - MP3 files occupy no Lodge, indie bands nail in the coffin and out of darkness by the barrage of the usual distribution channels, etc.But it is more difficult to weld emotional connotation to points on a scan or songs onto a server, because it's not exactly how our brain is wired....
