Has anyone hooked up an XM SkyFi home docking kit to a Bose Wave Music System w/Multi-CD changer radio?
I am familiar with Sirius, but if XM has a standard 1 / 8 "output jack, you should be able to patch directly into the Bose if it has an auxiliary input for external audio sources. If so, they are probably RCA. You can go for a stereo "Y" connector with a single 1 / 8 "tip-ring-sleeve plug on one end and two RCA on the other Radio Shack . White is left, red is right.

Internet changes how we store, listen to music
Recently a friend asked how I organize and catalog my vast music collection. If you've ever seen my home office, you'll know that "organize" is a relative term.
I've eliminated all formats except a small collection of compact discs, mostly my all-time favorites, loosely stacked into several plastic totes. We are looking for a small shelving unit to hold them, but getting one would compel me to arrange discs in alphabetical order or by genre. As my son always says, that would require work.
The great majority of my music collection now lives in my iTunes library on a hard drive that's backed up on data DVDs. I also have ripped most of my physical discs as additional backups, making them available on demand for some good compilations and our iPods.
We play music on our computers and our home stereo system, an ancient CD boom box. A Bose Sound dock would be nice, but one of the burners just went out on the stove and is duct taped in the off position.
The music discs we burn can be played in the car without fear of the originals melting in the recent 128-degree heat index. The iPods go anywhere, including the car, with appropriate cables. While this covers most of our day-to-day listening, there are a few gaps. When my iPod is left at home I can sign on to my Pandora Radio account from any computer or phone with Internet access.
