Sony or Sennheiser noise-cancelling headphones?

I reduced my choices down to Sony MDR-NC50 and noise-cancellation headphones Sennheiser. Both are roughly the same price.

What brand works better for noise?
What is most comfortable for long-haul flights?
Which blocks more noise when the noise cancellation feature is turned off (for when I sleep on the plane and all that)?

Both are good products but
Sony makes TVs Radio Pones VCRs, etc etc etc. ..
Sennheiser Microphones allows speakers and related items .. that's about it ..
Although I love Sony products would go with Sennheiser.
The nose cancellation feature is designed for when your listening to music or audio from a recorded source .. If you are looking for something to eliminate noise while you sleep on a plane, then I would simple foam ear plugs that you can get almost anywhere at low prices .. or take a pill to travel sickness you relax and help you sleep ...
