Lexington pianist jazzed for performance at Regattabar
Jazz pianist and Lexington native Steven Feifke , 20, hopes to show his chops and introduce audiences to some new music when he takes the stage an at the Regattabar in Cambridge on Tuesday, Aug. 9.
The 2009 Lexington High School graduate is playing the jazz club for the second straight year; this time accompanied by a group featuring Grammy award-winning trumpeter Brian Lynch . The Steven Feifke Septet will perform jazz standards as well as some of Feifke’s original compositions and arrangements.
“I got more into composing and arranging, so I’m excited to play all the new material,” he said. “It’s also nice being at home and playing for my family and friends.”
Feifke has been studying piano since he was 4 years old.
“My mom was my first teacher,” he said. “She also plays piano. She gave me little five-minute lessons but I would always go to a piano, she told me, and bang on it and bug the dog. I guess it’s just that I’ve always been drawn to it.”

You see that I indeed like putting together a look, plain lovely time to time but I do not familiar with what I'm posting on when I'm usually: Am the blogger, fashion emo or am I upscale fashionistas or am - I trick, blogger Artsy and greater difficulty is that someone looking at me? haha....
